WORDPRESS – A BLOGGER’S DREAM

Having a blog site exclusively for our personal use, in order to get closer to people who think alike and share the same wave length as ours is no big deal nowadays. But having a site which allows you to do all that you wanted to and enjoys some special features, that you could not have until now is a welcome proposition. Wordpress, according to the author Linda J Bruton, allows you to just that. She highlights two main features which have won her heart and hence have made her an avid supporter of Wordpress. She claims that with every usage, she likes it more and more.

The first example she cites is that you may employ Wordpress to conveniently ping all the RSS and blog feed indexes or directories, as soon as you add a post. This is a definite way of inviting more and more traffic to your site and a quicker route creating links to your blog by default. The time and strain invested on a regular site is time consuming and Wordpress minimizes and mitigates all that.

Another very notable and important feature is the flexibility it allows you to introduce categories, which is not seen in the rest. Categories adds value to your blog and the visitors need not waste time looking at all the varieties under one topic but can head directly to the category they wish to see. This hold true in case of search engines too that provide link to your blog. What more, there is a link in every page to your category, facilitating easy search. Another merit of Wordpress being creation of an RSS feed for each of the category that we have put up.

In comparison to erecting our page on a conventional portal, Wordpress is very user-friendly, being systematic and organized. Try right away and find the difference on your own, and be sure, you are going to love it!
